BillCal Privacy Policy

BillCal is a personal bill-tracking app published by AppGod (Diavallan Fearon, Ontario, Canada). This policy explains what data BillCal handles and how.

The short version

BillCal does not collect, transmit, or share any of your personal or financial data. Every account, bill, balance, PIN, and reminder you create stays on your device. We have no servers that store your information.

What stays on your device

Account names, balances, and colors you enter
Bill names, amounts, due dates, and notes
Your 6-digit PIN (stored as a salted SHA-256 hash, not plaintext)
App preferences (currency symbol, reminder time, theme)

All of this lives in a local database on your iPhone (Hive). Nothing is sent to AppGod or any third party.

What BillCal does NOT do

No analytics tracking
No advertising identifiers
No third-party trackers
No cloud backup or sync
No account creation or login (other than your local PIN)
No bank or financial-institution connections

Third-party services we use

Apple In-App Purchase — if you upgrade to BillCal Premium ($4.99 one-time), the transaction is handled entirely by Apple. We receive a confirmation receipt from Apple but no payment details. See Apple's privacy policy.
Apple Face ID / Touch ID — biometric authentication runs entirely on your device. BillCal never sees your biometric data.
iOS Local Notifications — bill reminders are scheduled and delivered by iOS on your device. No notification content is sent to any server.

Children's privacy

BillCal is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect any information from children or anyone else. Because no data is collected at all, there is nothing to collect from minors.

Your rights and data deletion

Because all your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control:

Edit or delete any account or bill from inside the app at any time
Use Settings → Wipe All Data to permanently erase everything
Uninstalling BillCal removes every byte of your BillCal data from your device

Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and post the new version here at https://billcal.app/privacy.
